Roadflavor Green

Most car events suffer from one major flaw: every edition feels the same. Same location, similar cars. Show participants a few photos from past editions, and it’s genuinely hard to tell which year they’re from. But there’s a spectacular exception to this rule: Fuori Concorso, where each edition has its own unique theme. And now, there’s a new kid on the block — Roadflavor meetings.

So far, three editions have taken place, each in a different location and each with a distinct color theme. Only cars in just the right shade are allowed to take part.

Behind the Roadflavor brand stands just one man — Tomek Sarna. Not only is he one of Poland’s top automotive photographers, but he’s also full of creative ideas for promoting car culture and delivering high-quality, visually stunning experiences. His latest initiative? These bold, color-themed gatherings.

The first edition was all about red cars. And as you can imagine, it’s not too hard to find passionate car owners with vehicles in that fiery hue. Things started to get trickier with the following editions. How many interesting cars can you name that wear violet paint? Probably not that many. But somehow, Tomek managed to gather a very solid group.

The third edition was the one I finally had the chance to attend. The theme this time was green, and the event took place in the garden of Pałac Rozalin, on the same weekend as the annual Forzaitalia.pl meeting.

Are we allowed to start talking about Rozalin Car Week yet? Ducati, the organizers of yet another accompanying event, might not be thrilled about that name.

Uncertain weather limited the number of participating cars, but there were still plenty of interesting ones to see. One, however, stood out above the rest: the Ligier JS P217, brought in by the Inter Europol Competition Racing Team.

This very car competed in the European Le Mans Series and the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. The experience the team gained with it was crucial for their later successes — the most spectacular being their LMP2 class win in the 2023 race.

From the roaring Circuit de la Sarthe, let’s drift back to the peaceful gardens of Pałac Rozalin. What really stood out to me was the variety of cars on display. From high-end Aston Martin and Porsches, through Alfa Romeos proudly wearing the cloverleaf badge, classic Land Rovers, to a humble Peugeot 206, and a classic Corolla — the mix was refreshingly eclectic.

Also worth noting: many participants embraced the event’s color theme by wearing outfits that matched their cars. A small detail, but one that added a stylish and thoughtful touch.

It’s exciting to see a fresh, high-quality event joining the car scene. With Tomek’s signature dedication and eye for detail — qualities he’s already well known for — Roadflavor has everything it takes to make a lasting mark in the automotive world.
